The community posts that fixed my listings
A seller read the buying-advice posts as a buyer would, and rewrote everything she had published.
I started reading the buying-advice posts to understand what customers were being told to look for, and it was uncomfortable. Nearly every point they were told to check was a point my listings answered badly.
No measurements on the smaller items. Dispatch time set to one day because it sounded good, though I ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. Photographs of three items in a range and a note saying the others were similar.
I spent a weekend rewriting eighteen listings against that checklist. Nothing about the products changed, only what I had said about them.
Sales did not double — I want to be honest about that. But questions dropped sharply, two returns that had been pending were withdrawn, and I stopped dreading Monday mornings.
